June 15th is the day we will reopen, so get ready!!! We have had many discussions with the Mayor of Frontenac, those at the Office of the St. Louis County Executive working directly under Sam Page, and the St. Louis County Health Department trying to get an earlier opening date, but no luck. The outcome of these conversations is that dance studios are not allowed to open during Phase I of reopening in St. Louis County. While we wish things were different, we feel we need to abide by the orders given to us through St. Louis County. This brings us nothing but frustration and sadness, however, your safety is our number one priority!
So June 15 it is, just two more weeks until we can be dancing again. We will implement procedures that will keep you healthy and dancing. The protocols which we will use to guide us can be found at the Business and Individual Guidelines and the Personal Services Operating Protocol. To summarize, all instructors will be receive a daily health check, which will include a temperature and symptom screening, and will be masked while at the studio. Additionally, we ask all students adhere to the following protocol upon arrival to the studio.
Arrive only 5-10 minutes prior to your appointed lesson time and please have a mask on prior to entering the building.
Check in with your instructor to receive a health screening, which will include temperature check with a no contact thermometer. We may transition to a text message health screening, so please stay tuned for updates.
No parents or guests will be allowed to stay in the studio during the lessons. We ask that parents of young children still escort their kids in to assist with the health screening, however, after that they are expected to wait out of the studio.
We ask that no gloves be worn in the studio. Proper hand hygiene is the most effective way to protect both you and your instructor. Disinfecting soap and hand sanitizer will be readily available to you in the studio.
All high contact surfaces will be wiped down multiple times over the course of the day, and the studio will be thoroughly cleaned at the end of each day. Coffee and our water cooler will be unavailable, and we ask that students please bring in their own water.
The main dance floor will be divided into three sections, limiting the number of lessons on the floor. All group and exercises classes are temporarily suspended-as soon as we have an idea when we feel they can safely restart, we will let you know.
During a time such as this, DANCING is just what you need to lift your spirits and provide distraction, exercise, and happiness. We want to thank all our students for their patience and loyalty during this time. We are sending everyone a big, virtual hug!! Do not hesitate to give us a call if you have any questions or suggestions.
